The right truck for the van

A van can be too tall, long or heavy for a standard car transporter. When you post a job you choose the size, and we only show it to drivers whose truck has been checked as suitable.

Common van jobs

  • Breakdown or failed MOT, taken to a garage
  • Moving a work van between depots or to a new owner
  • Collecting a van that has been bought online or at auction
  • Accident-damaged vans that can't be driven

Before you post

  • Note the height, length and weight if the van has been converted or is loaded.
  • Say if it has a roof rack, ladders or a tow bar, as these affect loading.
  • Remove loose items and anything of value from the load area.

Questions

Can you move a loaded van?

Weight matters for the truck, so empty the van if you can. If it must stay loaded, say so in the job so drivers can price and plan for it.

What about large panel vans and Luton vans?

Choose the matching size when posting. Only drivers whose truck can carry that size will see the job.
