Car recovery across the UK from insurance-verified drivers

Post your job, compare offers from verified recovery drivers and pay securely. Photo proof at pickup and drop-off.

How car recovery works on Recovry

You tell us where the car is, where it needs to go and when. Verified drivers near you send an offer with their price and timing. You choose, pay by bank transfer and the money is held until the car has arrived.

  • Every driver's licence, insurance and truck are checked before they see a job.
  • Drivers take time-stamped condition photos at pickup and drop-off, so there is a record if anything is disputed.
  • You get a full refund if you cancel before the driver starts the job.

When people use it

  • A breakdown at home or work that needs taking to a garage
  • Moving a car to a new address, a buyer or a dealer
  • Collecting a car from an auction or a garage
  • Taking a car that failed its MOT to be repaired

What affects the price

Distance, the size and weight of the vehicle, whether it runs, how easy it is to reach and how soon you need it. Drivers set their own prices, so you can compare. You see the full price, plus a flat £0.75 booking fee, before you pay.

Questions

How quickly can a car be collected?

It depends on the drivers near you. Mark the job urgent and nearby drivers are alerted straight away, or choose a day and time that suits you.

Is my car insured while it is being moved?

Every Recovry driver must hold goods-in-transit and truck insurance, which we check before they can see jobs. Keep your own policy in place as well.

Do I need to be there?

Someone should be at pickup and at drop-off, or you can arrange for a keyholder. The driver takes photos at both ends.
