Recovry connects people who need a vehicle moved with independent, verified recovery drivers across the UK. To do that we need some personal information. This page explains what we collect, why, who sees it, how long we keep it and what you can do about it.
Recovry Ltd [company name to add] is the controller of your personal data under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Registered in England and Wales, company number [to add], registered office [to add]. ICO registration number [to add]. Questions about privacy: privacy@recovry.co.uk, or use our contact form.
1. What we collect
2. Why we use it and our lawful basis
3. Your location
We only use your device's location when your browser or phone asks and you allow it:
- Customers: to fill in the pickup postcode and exact spot when you tap “Use my current location”.
- Drivers: to show jobs near where you are now (rounded to about 100 metres), and to record where a vehicle was dropped off when you mark a job delivered.
- Photos: the time and place each job photo was taken, as evidence of the vehicle's condition.
We don't track drivers in the background. Before a job is booked, drivers only see the pickup area and a distance measured from the postcode centre. The street address and exact spot are shown only to the driver you book.
5. How long we keep it

Everything is sent over encrypted connections. Passwords are stored only as secure hashes. Uploaded documents and photos are private and only shown to the people who need them (you, the other side of your job where relevant, and our admin team). Every change and every admin action is logged. Accounts lock after repeated failed sign-ins.
