Cookie policy

Last updated 29 September 2026

Recovry only uses cookies and browser storage that are strictly necessary for the site to work. We don't use advertising cookies, and we don't use analytics or tracking cookies. That's why there's no cookie banner: the law (PECR) only requires consent for cookies that aren't essential.

1. Cookies we use

rc_accessKeeps you signed in. Only sent to our own server, and can't be read by scripts on the page. How long: 15 minutes, renewed automatically while you use the site
rc_refreshRenews your sign-in so you don't have to sign in again every 15 minutes. Removed when you sign out.How long: 30 days

2. Other things stored in your browser

rc-location-askedRemembers that we've already asked for your location on the job feed, so we only ask once each visit. Stored in session storage, never sent to us.How long: Until you close the tab

3. Other websites

When we add card payments, Stripe will set its own cookies on the payment form to prevent fraud. These are strictly necessary for taking payments. Links to Google Maps and what3words take you to their sites, which have their own cookie policies.

4. Controlling cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block ours, you won't be able to sign in. If we ever want to use cookies that aren't essential, such as analytics, we'll ask you first and update this page.
